Tor Olav Trøim (Director)
Tor Olav Trøim has served as a director of the Company since September, 2011, having previously served as a director and vice-president of the Company from its incorporation in May 2001 until October 2009, after which time he served as a director and Chairman of the Company’s listed subsidiary, Golar LNG Energy Limited. Since January 2009 Tor Olav Trøim has also served on the Board of Directors of Golar LNG Partners LP, a Master Limited Partnership. Mr Troim was Vice President and a director of Seadrill Limited between 2005 and 2014. Additionally between 1995 and 2014 he also served, at various times, as a director of a number of related public companies including Frontline Limited, Golden Ocean Group Limited, Archer Limited as well as Seatankers Management Limited. Prior to 1995 he served as an Equity Portfolio Manager with Storebrand ASA and Chief Executive Officer for the Norwegian Oil Company DNO AS. Mr. Trøim graduated as M.Sc Naval Architect from the University of Trondheim, Norway in 1985.
Gary Smith, Chief Executive Officer, Golar Management Ltd.
Gary Smith’s career in oil and gas spans 35 years including 20 years with Shell in various roles including General Manager of LNG shipping and most recently 5 years with Caltex Australia (a Chevron affiliate) as General Manager Refining, Supply and Distribution. Between 2002 and 2005 Gary served as President and Director of SIGTTO (Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators). Gary was CEO of Golar in the period 2006 to 2009 and during this time oversaw the Company’s entry into the then non-existent FSRU business and made the first preparations for the company’s subsequent pursuit of floating liquefaction. Gary re-joined Golar as CEO in February 2015.
Brian Tienzo, Chief Financial Officer, Golar Management Ltd.
Brian Tienzo is our Chief Financial Officer and has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Golar Management since July 2011. Mr. Tienzo joined Golar Management in February 2001 as Group Management Accountant. From 1995 to 2001 he worked for Z-Cards Europe Limited, Parliamentary Communications Limited and Interoute Communications Limited, in various financial management positions. He is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.
Oistein Dahl, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Golar Wilhelmsen Management (GWM)Oistein Dahl is our Chief Operating Officer and the Managing Director of Golar Wilhelmsen Management (GWM). GWM is Golar's own technical management company and is a joint venture (owned 60% by Golar) with Wilhelmsen Ship Management. Mr. Dahl started in Golar in September 2011. He comes from Höegh Fleet, where he was President for four years. He has served in Höegh for several years and has had several positions within vessel management, newbuilding and projects, as well as business development. Mr. Dahl has also worked within offshore engineering and with the Norwegian Class Society DNV. Mr. Dahl has a MSc degree from the NTNU technical university in Trondheim.
Hugo Skår, Chief Technical Officer, Golar Management Ltd
Mr. Skår has served as Vice President, Project Management for Golar LNG since 2004 and became CTO in 2009. Mr. Skår has been responsible for the successful FSRU conversion projects. Mr. Skår has an MSc degree in Naval Architecture. He has worked 9 years in Bergesen (Newbuilding & Project Division) and has an extensive experience from newbuilding supervision and VLCC conversions to FPSO (Floating Production Storage Offshore). From 2001 to 2004, he served as Site Manager and Project Manager for the construction of Bergesen’s new LNG carriers.
H. Marius Foss, Senior Vice President – Head of Shipping, Golar Management Ltd.
Formerly Chartering Manager of Frontline Management AS, Mr. Foss brings to Golar over 25 years shipping experience having acted for various brokers and owners in the oil and gas business.
Dan Werner, Senior Vice President, Commercial, Golar Management Ltd
Dan joined Golar in 2013 and serves as our Senior Vice President, Commercial. Previous professional experience includes senior leadership roles with BG Group, Sempra LNG and El Paso Energy in the areas of LNG procurement and LNG / natural gas marketing, capacity and logistics management, project development, and direction of surface production & midstream facilities engineering, construction and operations. Early in his career Dan was a staff member of the Gas Research Institute and the Industrial Research Laboratory of Northwestern University. Dan has worked in the global energy industry for over 25 years and holds an MBA in finance and marketing and an undergraduate engineering degree, as well as multiple construction technology patents.
